Default G16 motor in G9

Got a question...Has anyone put a G16 motor in a G9 golf cart? Posting for a potential sale of my G16 motor. Guy has a G9 and wants to drop it in and thinks it should work. I have everything that goes with it except the drive belt and cables.

I've thought about it as well. I have a running G8 and I have a G16 that I'm rebuilding the engine on. I've been back and forth whether I should put the G16 motor in my G8 or put it back in the G16 to sell it and make some money. The only reason I wanted to swap engines is simply because it'll be a new motor. It appears that the motor mount locations are the same and I can tell you from personal experience that the primary clutches both work in either cart. My major hang-up is the G16 exhaust location. The muffler on the G16 will end up either very close (if not touching) the fuel tank on my G8 causing a potential bomb. I haven't looked at a G9 to know where the fuel tank location is but on my G8 the tank is directly under the drivers butt and the G16 it's under the passengers butt.

Also you should include the carburetor from the G16 because it appears that it may be slightly different from the G8. I say it "appears" cause I don't know for sure.

Thanks, it's all complete with carb just needs a new home. I went with a Vangard in mine so someone is getting a nice motor with Plowmans parts installed on it.

I put a G16 motor in a G2. Had to change some wires & cables. Weld in tabs to bolt motor to. Nothing too crazy. Installing the airbox is pretty tough, had to remove one stud from head to provide clearence to gas tank. Also had to omit the air guide (for lack of a better term, its where the emissions sticker is), did not omit any of the actual air shroud (also gas tank clearence).
