Default Transmission took a dump

Haven't posted in a while ,everything has been running smooth Until today. Was driving back from a buddies house and was about four miles away when my trans gave up Any way ,i`m just wondering what could have let go. I have two extra transmissions to swap in so it`s not a big deal but I will have to dig into it sometime. I did notice oil coming out of the breather thing .

What do you mean by "gave up"? What does it do/not do? Its like saying "my truck broke", it could mean it wont drive, or it could mean the door handle quit opening the door. It could mean the engine revs freely without causing vehicle movement, or it could mean a shift cable broke, and wont shift out of forward..

Have you tried manually moving the shift lever on the trans?

Might check for a broken axle.

Your not supposed to do a wheelie for 4 miles, that is what happened.

Hope its simple and didn't trash it.

Got the trans out and the spare is ready to go in . The spare trans has a heavy white spring Will I lose a lot of speed with this spring ? Probably don`t need it as I had enough power with the factory spring
