Default How long will it last with bad crank bearings?

Hey fellow carters. I have a question about one of my G1s. I bought my wifes cart back at the end of the 2010 camping season. I knew when I bought it that it had play in the crank bearings and that the bearings were a little on the noisy side. I have been been driving it like this for 5 camp seasons and it has not let me down yet. In fact....the cart runs perfect! How much longer will this thing go??? Has anyone actually had bad crank bearings shut them down? Oh, by the way I really don't care if the motor destroys itself because I have another recently rebuilt G1 motor waiting to swap over. I just can't believe that this motor still runs like a top!

My first thought is that the crank seals will eventually wear out because of the excessive play in the crank. I did put new crank seals in it when I bought it 5 years ago.

If ya already got another one to put in, why force the current one to be ripped to shreds? The world aint filled with good rebuildable G1 cores.
