Default 2005 G22 drive belt replacement

Hello all,

Just replaced my drive belt on my 2005 G22 . Went to try to take off after new belt was put on and it acted like the battery was dead and didn't want to start or move . But as soon as you rock the cart alittle it will take off with no problem. It doesn't do it as often now but it still bothers me.

I did not replace starter belt, could it be the starter belt is too loose and hard to move cart ? The driver belt was alittle hard to put on. Did double check the part number on belt to make sure it was the right one...

Any suggestions would be great ... Thank you

Ummm, hate to say it, but that isnt a genuine Yamaha belt. Should have got OEM. I would check starter belt & pully for slipping. Then i would check brushes in the starter generator. They are serviced through 4 rubber plugs. The brushes should not be below the steel brush holder they ride in.
