Lift & Tire/Wheel Help Please (G29 Drive Concierge)
Okay, need some guidance again.
I am in between going with the Jakes 6" Spindle Lift or the 6" Long Travel Lift. BUT....the recommended tire size are for each of these kits is 23x10.5x12 My issue is my garage opening at its lowest point is only 83.5" My Yamaha currently measure just short of 75" at the highest point. I think going with the 23" inch tires is to close for any deviation at all. Unless I were to lower the canopy supports some way or an other... So, I think I need to get 22" tires which would put the overall height with lift kit at 83" tall leavin a half inch for clearance. How do I determine whether I should look for tires that are 22 x 10.5 x 12's o3 22x10x 12s or 22x11x12s etc? And also for the wheels? I just don't understand the sizes, offset and what goes where. On an appearance note...Are only 22" tires going to look dinky with a 6" lift? Thanx everyone! |

Nah, it won't look dinky. If you have 10" wheels, 22" is about as big as you can get. 12" wheels, and the tire options are greater. A 22" tire on a 12" wheel may look funny...
6" lifts, 22x11-10 tires... The red cart redone with Jakes 7" Double A lift and 23x10.5-12 tires... |

I actually ordered em earlier this afternoon.
Went with Explorer 12's (like pictured but gloss black) and 22 Sahara Classic... I had to do a double-take at your green cart. I almost went with ones looked similar. |

Re: Lift & Tire/Wheel Help Please (G29 Drive Concierge)
My lift is a mix-&-match of parts, cheapo lift kit in the rear. Yamaha u-max (jakes) arms in the front (5-6" in the rear, 6" in the front). 22" tires dont look stupid on it. I started with the cheapo lift on both ends, front was lower. got some worn-out umax arms, welded & re drilled the holes (kingpin holes were screwed). In my case, bigger tires would rub too much. Not the exact same as "drive", but tire size is an example. I would be unhappy with it if the lift were shorter (too much rubbing). I do "treat" mine with some good off-road abuse. If you are doing it for street/looks (parking lot cruiser), it would be fine with a shorter lift. My front "mud flaps" got worn through while the cheapo lift was still on the front (hanging on by a thread) .

Re: Lift & Tire/Wheel Help Please (G29 Drive Concierge)
Thanks. We use it for mix between street cruising and offroading on the beach and in the woods/fields etc.
Our CC Carryall lift and wheels have been great with the kit and everything on it. We just needed more seating for the larger family now. And thought it was time to go brand new with the Yamaha. Still haven't decided whether to sell the Carryall or keep it seeing all the time/work that I put into it. Not even sure how much $ I could get for it? |

there is really no reason to sell a cart is your reason is hauling more people yeah you can haul 4 people on the the yamaha but then where do you put the coolers , hence the reason you must keep the carryall. not only because it gives you two extra seats but that it carries the people fuel , you know beer and such

"word" yes there is one, but if we don't say that word then we don't have it. you know the A word. that's why we maintain a support group online. its kinda like having an AA meeting in a Bar during happy hour.
