Default G1 Roof Supports

Hi everyone. I have been looking for G1 supports for some time with out any luck. I was wondering if someone could tell or show me the measurements so that maybe I can get some made. I think they are 1" but not sure. Thanks for any help.

I'm actually doing away with the ones on my G1 as I'm changing the body and building a roll cage.

I'll try to get you some measurements if I get time.

Hey thanks that would be great. You sure keep busy with those toys. I am replacing all the front end on the G1. I enjoy it. Hey what ever happened with gas tank, did you ever get it aired out ?

Meangreen, with everything going on, I actually forgot all about the tank. Sorry about that. I'll get the measurements today if something doesn't come up. I'd like to do more work on the cart anyway and it's supposed to be cooler today.

Do you need the measurements for the front windshield support as well? I'm planning too remove it all as I have the windshield support and windshield from a marathon I am going too use on my roll cage.

I did cut the windshield support down on the G1 as it set too high when I installed it on my cart.

I would like the back for now, we have a shop around here that I could buy material and they will bend for me, I hope. I like the stock looking supports. Had a roof on my caroche and lost it over the winter with snow, it was old like me , lol. Hey no problem about tank I took one off my other cart and cleaned up with new vent, gas guage and seals. Always nice to have a spare.

I got the measurements today. The roof itself is 42"x48".

The back braces are as follows:

The front piece in the rear is 38" tall and 37" across

The rear piece is 40" tall and 39" across.

Windshield frame is:
35" across and 34" tall.

You'll have to look at pictures of the top to see just exactly how they need bent so that they fit and the rear body section can be opened.

If you have the rear roof supports built strong enough you won't even need the support in the front that holds the windshield.

I hope these measurements help you out.

Hey, thanks a lot I really appreciate your help. Between your measurements and a picture they should be able to make me something. I also seen where someone used cc Ds struts but I rather have it look stock. Going to try and finish front end this week and install new bumpers and wheel wells. My wife and daughter love this cart. I missed out yesterday on picking up a complete cc Ds rear with hitch, seats, armrest, roof, etc from craigslist for $100.00. That would have been a great tow behind unit.
