Default Anyone cut rear support bar?

I have a 97 G16 with a lift and 23" tires. If I have enough weight the rear tires will rub the lower rear support bar no matter what I do. Was thinking of cuttin the square tube in half lenthwise and diagonal and welding some flat stock back in to make it a triangle to give more clearance. Anyone else modded or removed this bar? I have nice stiff RZR shocks on it now and I dont wanna lift it no higher.

Lets see pictures. Anything can be done if done right.

I actually cut and boxed the frame on my G1 when I installed the 25hp in it. I had to cut about 10" out of the frame. I did however add some good frame bracing to strengthen it after doing the cutting.

No pics yet. On a g16 theres a square bar that runs acroos th erear and the body sits on it and I think the wheel wells bolt to it. If I turn with weight on the rear it rubs BAD.

If you take the brace out you need to figure out where and how to brace it in another place.

If your just going to modify it to give yourself more room and not remove it totally then you should be good.

If you are talking about the brace behind the rear tires supporting the bumper I cut mine just outside of where the curved round tubing goes around the wheel well.I still have the rear bumper on with no ill effects. This let me run 24" tires with a 4" lift and no rubbing at all. This was on my G14 don't know about other models.
