2001 G-16 is jerking when I lets off the gas. other then that runs fine.

Try greasing the clutches. Only 1 or 2 pumps in each. Look at the sheaves on both clutches make sure they're clean and smooth.

I have done that and have even taking the front clutch off and cleaned it.

How's the belt look? Mine was doing that when I first bought it. I ended up rebuilding the clutch with new weights & pins. It went away after that. Yours is a little different style than mine. Inspect the rollers for flat spots.

Do you mean letting off the gas completely or just easing off? If completely it may be stop / start switch shutting engine down.

I let off it all the way then it jerks. but if I keep alittle gas on it and use the brake , its smooth
