Default Anybody Experience with Painting/Chroming Gas & Brake Pedal ??

Might have better response in this section...didn't even know there was a sub forum for paint.

Has anybody had decent results spray painting or chroming their gas and brake pedals?

Has it held up well?

Any pictures to share?

Chrome would hold up fine. It is very hard and durable. However it is not a paint. Also for chrome to look good, good preparation tactics must be used.

Frank painting the pedals would look good but paint wears off and chroming them would look good also but more expensive. I like Dave’s idea also it is all up to what you’re looking for. On my cart I took a soft/fine wire wheel in my electric hand drill to brighten them up then used polish to prolong the shine. This method is easy to refresh and I like the look.

think I figured out what I am going to do.

I purchased a couple metal(not sure type of metal) emblems/logos to go with the "theme" of the cart. each only about 1" in diameter.

I am going to grind down the [P] in the parking break, and grind the center of the Gas and Brake Pedals. Then place each emblem in each part of the grinded down pedal.

Need to figure out the best type of glue/epoxy to use to bond the emblems to the pedals?

Once they are attached I am going to probably scour prime, paint, and clear coat for the finished look.

Any advice on bonding epoxy(s)?

Like I said not really sure what each of the metals are made of.

Since the pedals were brand new polishing didn't really make much of a difference so that's why I decided to just paint em to match the rest of the cart.
