Default Anyone ever cut open to repair a g16 muffler?

So I'm curious if anyone has cut open factory Yamaha g16 muffler to repair a rattling baffle? Should I go in through the top or the bottom? Anyone have an image of one cut open?

I cut open the bottom of the Muffler. I found there are two chambers. A pipe that connects internally to the exhaust flange travels through the separator plate. The pipe has broken free from the plate (see picture). The tailpipe is still securely welded. I have welded the pipe back to the separator plate. I need to weld the can back up and install. Hope this repair works.

I think I have something loose in mine also
My cart sounds pretty loud whith the peddle to the floor
Something rattling in there
As soon as I let off its gone
Not too bad at half throttle
Same question
Do I cut the top or bottom
Maybe both
Any other mods while I have it off and cut up
Thanks

Once I removed the muffler and shook it, I knew there as a problem. I went through the bottom only as a starting point. It looks like it is the only access I need.
