Default yamaha g2 engine help

Hey guys i have a yamaha g2 and i replaced the carb and i turned the needle 1-1/2 turns out, well the motor keeps cranking and cranking and its getting spark and has a new spark plug

I notice when i take the black tube off the carb that goes to the air breather it has some gas in it and when the black tube is off it blows kinda alot of gas out ????? But cant get it to fire what should i do next ???

Try some starting fluid with the choke and throttle opened

Take off your valve cover and crank over the engine. See if the valves are opening and closing all the way. Adjust valves, .004 on both when engine is cold.

One rod is loose with lots of play the rocker does not touch it ???? Is it rebuild quality lol

Just follow the sticky "valve adjustment" and see what happens.

But the rod is not moving on one side ? And is inch or more away from the rocker

When you "by hand" turn the engine over, both pushrods don't move up and down? Are both valves at the same heighth when closed?

Left side goes up and down the passenger side does nothing
