Default 2008 G29 with front end shimmy..... Help...lol

So we just picked up our new to us 2008 G29. It has a 6" lift with new tires and the cart is in mint condition. The problem is after getting it home and driving it thoroughly it has a front end shimmy at top speed approx. 20mph on pavement. If you move the wheel the slightest it seems to fish tail up front. I almost could not control/recover it once while out. The tires say 20PSI and they have that in them. the tires and lift kit are new and there doesn't seem to be any play in the steering. My wife can't drive this HELP! Any advice before trying to return it would be greatly appreciated....

Pics up in a few minutes...

The experience I have with g29 lifted carts especially with rear seats and passengers the alignment is most always the issue with the cart getting squirrelly at higher speeds on pavement. Not sure howuch weight your hauling or if you have a rear seat but installing stiffer shock springs or a shock spring spacer to stiffen the springs can help alleviate that unstable feeling. Also more tire psi an help but sounds like the 20psi you have is plenty. Only other factor that remains is alignment. Some say 1/8" toe in but I have had better luck with the toe being at 0. I can ride 30mph and not even have to touch the wheel on pavement and it will track straight as an arrow. Now you put 400lbs of people up front and 200 lbs of kids on the rear seat and yes it can get out of control with just the slightest touch of the wheel at these high speeds. I'm willing to bet it's the alignment toed in too much. With just you and your wife only riding it's shouldn't be doing this.

My wife at 140, me at 250 up front and 2 kids 150 on the back it is worse it seems. But with Just me and my 7 yr old up front I can get it to swerve as well. It's scary at 20 mph and I've never been scared of anything driving wise my whole life!! lol Here she is....

Its totally an issue of getting the toe setting just right for Your cart (it will take several adjusts & test drives, no one can get it perfect in one shot for "your cart"). There is no perfect setting to tell you over the internet. Believe it or not, i have seen carts from the assembly line that would also steer itself around as it wished because of a terrible alignment.

I'm really digging that rear seat. Never seen a rear flip seat with a built in cargo box with tall sides like that.

Yeah I've never seen one like it as well. When the cart is returned tomorrow, I'll put up some better pics for ya. I also found this Plowmans kit below and decided to get one installed, heck why not. lol

That kit will defiantly put the lead back into the pencil. You will not believe the aftermath.
