Default Weird G16 engine swap question....

So I have the 2000 G16 engine installed and running in my EZ GO the zebra, but it is in need of a rebuild, compression is low (75 psi) and it smokes pretty well.
I have a possible chance to pick up a near new one of these...

It looks to me like this is the same engine and would be an easy install with all my stock parts.
Any input from you guys?

Hmm..may have just answered my own question. Downloaded the parts manual and it looks
as though the piston and cylinder angle the wrong way...In my cart with the lift that would
put the crankcase dumping oil right into the cylinder.
Guess I may just need to rebuild the original 301cc engine this winter unless a vanny drops
out of the sky.

True..Although I understand the Comet clutches are a huge upgrade over stock I am trying to keep within my budget for this project and the clone comes with more needed upgrades than I could afford right now.
Although
It is still an option if I can get enough hp for the least $$

You could use a stock clone for about $300. Use you stock clutch with an adapter for $20 and vegascarts engine and S/G mounts for under $200.Total less than $600 giving 15 plus hp and torque from 420 ccs.All pretty much a bolt in.
