Default G1 questions

So I fixed the clutch and it is working great now but now I have another issue. When starting is it normal to have to give it a lot of gas before it starts moving? When it finally does it kinda jumps out. After driving it around for a while it gets a little better but still does that. Would this be a carb issue? Should I tune it up?

Your primary probably needs cleaned also. If your secondary was that bad then most of the time your primary will need cleaned and greased.

I just watched some videos and as soon as they give it gas it moves. Mine doesn't do that. I have to almost mash it all the way down before it moves. Once it's going for a bit it's ok but it still kinda jumps out. Do we have a primary clutch removal/cleaning thread out there? I tried searching

That happens when you lift them.

Try choking it and starting it at low throttle see if that helps. Its common at that age to have bad crank seals and cause starting problems.

"Jumping" sounds like primary clutch is sticking take it apart and clean and lube it up

I don't think I'm going to be able to open it up. I can't take the cover off because it hits the frame.

Remove the bolts from the top of the rear shocks. Now push the shocks out of the way. That will allow the swing arm to move up and clear the outer frame. Make sure you put a jack under the rear bumper to hold the cart up.
