trouble putting in crankshaft seal
Hi guys, I am having trouble putting in the fly wheel side cranksaft seal on my 1986 g-1. I tried putting a 2" pipe over the seal and tapped it into position but it peeled off a piece of the rubber and ruined the seal. I used oil as a lubricant instead of grease. My cousin, suggested putting the seal in the freezer first to shrink it and stiffen it up. Any thoughts?

Re: trouble putting in crankshaft seal
Try the freezer, it may be enough to help. Also make sure the lead into the hole is burr free.
