Can't beat that price. Looks a little rough but that will make it even more fun as you fix it up.

This is an addiction. Bought my96 G16 last Labor Day and it's be been completely gone through. I just finished putting in a 25hp Vegas carts clone and long travel lift. The stock engines and setups are pretty simple to work on.

My cat is still on Jack stands because got pulled away from it so it hasn't even made its maiden voyage yet. I'm getting antsy about it though and if I get the part in mail tomorrow that I'm expecting it will be on the road tomorrow. They say potential of 41-43mph with the lift and tires /wheels.

93 had a lot of models G5,8,9, and11 get your serial number and go here http://www.everythingcarts.com/what-...golf-cart.aspx and figure what you have. Then you can do some searching around on here and the web even Yamaha site to get your specs. I'm not really sure about any but mine.

I don't have a lot of mechanical aptitude but was able to work on mine pretty easy. Did the seller give you any idea why the cart want running? I know some have gotten these in a bunk running order and it was something as simple as a blown fuse. So you might get lucky. If you have no idea why I would start with basics and check to see if it locked up then check electrical and so on. I will say if it looks like the cost is going to be crazy you might want to explore the option of a clone swap.

Also when I bought mine they had a service manual and that has turned out to be a godsend for me.

The reason it's been sitting b/c battery was dead.so with the addiction peaking off the charts, it's unloaded, pressure wash( to find #) drained gas,check oil,clean carb and waitin for battery to charge

Nice. Might check your starter generator brushes for wear also. That's am easy cheap fix.

Flip open the seat pod and look down on the lower front near the hinge area (On the inside of pod) and you should find your number.

I think that you will find that you have a G2. At least from the indicators I see in the picture that's what it is. They are a good platform to start with. There are many mods out there that can be used on this particular cart. If it runs good here's what I would do.

First: read everything here you can find on the stock G2 cart to find any common problems and short comings and things that can be done to improve them.

Then after all you have already done:

I would check it over good, giving it a tune up, oil change and rear differential oil change. Check the belt and clutches for wear and take care of any problems found there.

Then decide what you want to do to the cart to make it yours, such as lift, tire/wheel combo, paint and anything else you may want to change or do to the cart. Reading the forums will give you many great ideas and cost you a lot in time/money but can also give you good ideas that will help you build a cart on a cheap budget if you are able to do the fab work yourself.

You can go from mild to wild all dependent on your skills, time and pocketbook.
