Cool First post

This is my first post/question as I'm new in the forum,so here I go guys,I have a Yamaha g9a that it's my first project,I striped out ,rebuild it , etc. ,but when I step the gas pedal just runs with the choke all the way out, it's that normal or what should I do??

An air leak/improper seal in the air filter assy or a cracked carb spacer are probable causes.

Also, take that carb apart & super-clean it. Take everything out.

also, the vacuum hose, it runs from the block, its by the oil check stick. to the fuel pump, at least it is on a g16,take it off the fuel pump and blow, if you feel it let go then it was plugged, even better take it off and inspect, this hose runs the fuel pump, so if plugged you would have to use choke to get the gas to flow.. good luck,, steve
