Only getting 90% off pedal
1990 G2A.
Before we started mods had this problem at end of playing around, we thought we were running out off gas but there was plenty.(cut in and out at full throttle, fine at 90%). Gov is maxed. Plowman kit installed, secondary, muffler, and new jets. Replaced tank filter, yea it leaks, will put old one back after I tear off filter part, have an inline filter in. Adjusted air fuel mixture. Have not fine tuned with Don yet. In summary, ran fine, but slow, started to cough at full throttle, put mods on, still coughs at full throttle. Any ideas as to cause???? Going back out to stare and drink, hope this fixes problem |

Re: Only getting 90% off pedal
Have you checked to make sure the choke is staying open at full throttle?

Choke is staying open. Do here a little back fire when it cuts out.

Did you visually look at the choke while running at full throttle? The choke plate should be parallel to the carb intake tract. Not on either side of parallel. |

Re: Only getting 90% off pedal
G2 has a rev control.
It might help if you stop for a while and read this whole site. you will learn tons!! Start with a total maint program, and learn as you go. Stop putting parts on till you know what to expect. make the stock car run perfect before you put performance parts on. Good luck!! |

Just reinstalled carb. Cleaned and inspected spacer. No cracks. Did watch choke plate and no movement.

Re: Only getting 90% off pedal
Maybe I am misunderstanding the issue.
Does it cut out when you go to full throttle, or when the rpms reach a certain level? |
