Default 1998 g16 secondary driven clutch noise

I hear some clicking noises. Just put in a factory spring. Looks like there has been some contact room the axle housing if you look closely. New drive clutch and motor and belt from vegascarts. See the picture. I'm thinking I need to take it all apart and see why there is contact. Maybe the last washer is gone. Can't tell if the bushing is gone. What do you think?

Did you install one of these in place of the OEM c clip?

I didn't get that far in to it. Only replaced the spring didn't take off the last sheave before the gear box. Just left it on the shaft. Could that be the issue?

Your ramp shoes don't look too good either.

Ray, my old spring popped out and put some scratches around. When I take everything apart I'll replace the ramp shoes as well.

Dave, I saw this from one of your other posts. I'm guessing that's what I need as well. Yamaha J38-46322-09-00 Spacer,Input Shaft; New # J55-46322-09-00 Made by Yamaha?

Yep, could be. If the original clip is gone--it fits into a groove on the input shaft behind the helix--then the helix can come into contact with the gear case. The spacer replaces the clip. Ignore the condition of the shaft in the pic

Dave also has a pic of the correct way to install the spacer which I viewed when installing mine,

If you are running the VC clone I used the umaxx spring set on B 1. This has worked really well with my 24" tires.

I've heard to use the umax, they didn't have in stock but if I have to order in any parts for this I'll order one as well.
