Default Controlling speed of G29

I am looking at controlling the ground speed of the G29 by grounding the Igniter(TCI) when my desired speed is reached. By this I can keep the 20MPH speed set by the governor and set lower by this idea for when the Grandkids come to visit.

Any Pros and Cons for this.

My concern is when the Igniter is shut down the fuel is still being pulled in by the engine until the engine RPM has stopped. When the Igniter is turned back on by lower speed the Engine might backfire. How long before the engine is not driving the clutch and the axle is no longer back driving the Engine, when that happens the fuel won't be pulled in.

I think this is how an Engine RPM limiter works.

I put a block of wood under the gas peddle and zip tied it there on my other cart. The neighbor's kid drove it around the yards and everybody was happy.

Block of wood, that's too simple. I have built a speedometer for my cart and want to just flip a switch since the speedometer always knows what the speed is.

It's just something funny between some of the older members from long ago. A few will remember. When Bill posted that, I had to bring it up.

We had a friend on another forum, 15 year old kid named Gary, he was always coming up with different crazy mods and sharing. One of them was a wooden mod (lift, winch bracket, other things... can't remember all the specifics) and everyone ragged him to death about it. He was a good sport about it though. His motto was 'go big or go home'. He was a good kid and I miss all the fun we used to have with those teens.

Gary came back once and posted, hes learned more. But he was a kid and tried, sure was a funny kid it was awesome to see his posts.

I think I would figure out how to make the governor adjust for two speeds and just reset it when you needed to.

I have been trying to find a on/off solenoid with enough stroke to replace the threaded rod that we adjust on the governor for speed but so far I have come up short.
