1985 g1 forward solenoid
OK ,read post on here for two hours and think i need a new solenoid
goes fwd fine then after a few min no more fwd for like 10 minuntes but reverse no problem. What wires do i switch to see if the fwd works and rev does not when this happens to determine if its the solenoid |

the two solenoids are located on passenger side rear fend just swap them side to side (take some pictures so you know who everything connects) and see if the problem follows to reverse... also you can take the ends off and clean the contacts sometimes they get a little corroded witch almost sounds like your problem work when cold then heat up and loose continuity
