Check output voltage at stop switch (in the brake/accelerator area). Should have 12+ volts with key on and pedal depressed. If you do, check for output voltage at the voltage regulator (r/w wire) that runs to the solenoid.

OK, but was was the voltage coming out of the red/white wire coming out of the voltage regulator?

The 12v came from the red/wht and beige wire. The 6v was at the black and red wire at the small solenoid terminals.

The "AVR" (automatic voltage regulator, just forward of your battery) is a silver "box" with "fins" on it. The r/w white wire runs thru it, then to the solenoid. Need to test the output voltage at the AVR to the solenoid. This will tell you if you have a bad AVR or a bad wire from the avr to solenoid. Sorry to say I could not get a readable wiring scematic at this time.
