G1 lift question
I am getting ready to lift my G1 with the Jake's 6" and put some larger tires on it. I have decided to try and use the carts existing 8" rims, and add 22x11x8 tires.
My question is, will regular cart rims work with the new tires? I am getting confused by the offset of some rims, and unsure what mine are. Thanks, Harper |

Re: G1 lift question
No your stock rims will not work. You need offset rims for proper clearance.

Re: G1 lift question
Thanks for the response. How much offset? Would some sort of spacer work with my existing rims?

Re: G1 lift question
That's a good question. Not sure if spacers would work or not. Never heard of anyone trying that but maybe someone has and can chime in on that one. As far as offset goes I got a 2+5 offset for mine and don't have any clearance issues. I thought about adding spacers in the future but only to widen the wheelbase for some stability.
