Default what would you do?

Got the G11 to close to the fire. New panel is over $300. Can't find any used panels. Is there any way to fabricate a new panel or cover it up? The photo on the right is the undamaged panel on the other side. I am open to any suggestions.

Start with some sheet metal, form it close and finish with fiberglass / body filler.

You might could get a set of rear fenders for an EZGO workhorse and modify them to fit and then both sides would match.I see you have a frame right at the body to mount them to.i think it would look pretty cool.Club car carry all 6 also has some smaller black fenders that look like they could be made to work.just an idea if you found it too complicated to match up.Later,Richie

I agree with TheNewGuy, Rough mold a panel then finish with fiberglass repair. I've done many repairs{from boats to trucks} using fiberglas and they all came out fairly good, and I'm no pro.

Wife was cleaning yard. After dumping pine straw on burn pine straw stuck under the fender. Started burning after she parked it. I just happend to see it burning out window. I will check on the work horse fenders I have done some fiberglass repairs on my boat. Might try that. Thanks for the replys. Your ideas are very helpful.. I plan on lifting & new wheels & modify the bed after the fender is repaired. I want it to look good.

New Guy-- Are you talking about usung something like galvanized flashing to make the rough mold.? Do you just leave the metal attached to the fiberglass after you have finished? Will the fiberglass blend in with the plastic fender ok?

I would use something thicker than flashing. Sheet stock .030-.040 thick and form it as close to finished shape as possible. The fiberglass or filler would be just for final finishing. The sheet metal would stay.

I made a mold for the damaged part of the fender. The mold was made out of 16 gauge metal & pop rivits with plywood on the backside to stiffen it up. Used four layers of fiberglass for the new part & fiberglassed the parts together. Need to finish out with bondo paint.
