My blank canvas Yamaha Limo
Hi gang. Just picked this up today. My first cart/project.
It's super, super clean. Data plate says G22A. I'm open for tips, ideas, suggestions on this cart. I'd like to lift it. Change the tires and rims. Add a little speed and some sound. Jakes said they don't make a lift for this model so any suggestions welcome there. Regards |

Re: My blank canvas Yamaha Limo
Nice If your absulutly certin it is a G22, Jakes make a 3" spindle kit part# 6255-3, a 6" spindle kit part# 6255 and a long travel kit part#7057. A serial#, a picture of the front suspenssion or the brake pedal will verify your car. Good luck on your build

Re: My blank canvas Yamaha Limo
That's a G22 style brake pedal. The serial # sticker will be between the rubber front cowel trim and the storage area to the left of the steering colum. Should start with JU0-.

Here is a pic of the serial number in the glove box.
Jakes is telling me Yamaha didn't make any limo carts in 2003. Not really sure what I have here. Thanks |

Re: My blank canvas Yamaha Limo
in those days the limos/long carts were not designated as a seperate model. they just grabbed a G22 off the end of the assembly line, sent it over to "yamaha specialty vehicles" chopped, stretched, and bam, you got a limo. they did that every year as needed for "non-standard" stuff like flat bed burden carriers and limos all the way back to at least G2 (we ordered some for HS sports equipment carriers still in use today). i have seen stretch G1s but cant verify they came from yamaha that way.

Re: My blank canvas Yamaha Limo
Ok thanks for the info.
So does this cart perhaps have different gears or rear suspension from the factory? With 4 adults on it top end is 22 and there's no rubbing or bottoming out issues. |

Re: My blank canvas Yamaha Limo
i think it has heavy duty shocks on the back, thats the only difference i can think of. the general design came right off the golf cart assembly line.
