Yamaha G2 Reed Valve

I have an 1989 Yamaha G2 Golf Cart, and I need to know if this model has a reed valve?

IF IT IS A 4 STROKE (regular gas) NO REED VALVE. SUGGEST LOOKING AT PARTS DIAGRAM BLOW UP VIEW FOR YOUR ENGINE. IF IT IS A 2 STROKE , GAS OIL MIX FOR FUEL , YOU COULD ALSO PULL THE CARB OFF AND SHINE A LIGHT IN THE INTAKE . IF YOU CAN SEE THE PISTON AND CYLINDER BORE THERE IS NO REED VALVE.

G2 carts were originally 4 stroke engines which does not have a reed valve. Only 2 stroke engines have reed valves.

Wait a minute....... "If you can see the piston and cylinder bore" You have a G1 or G3 2stroke and you probably HAVE THE REED BOX IN YOUR HAND (all G1 & G3 were a "valved 2 cycle engine" Ie: had a reed valve). you cannot look into a 4cycle engine and see the piston & cylinder like that (and a G2 is a 4 cycle engine without a reed valve).
