Cart stops then backfires
I have a 96 G16 that had a problem that had progressively gotten worse. For a while it was if you ran the same low speed for two long, but now it happens quickly and often. When we are driving it will all of a sudden just lose power and stop moving. You can hold the had and it will crank and crank and do nothing. Sometimes it will backfire and start going right away, other times we can sit for 30 seconds to a minute and it will start going again.
Also, if I am pulling a load and try to go slow it had absolutely no power/strength. I can only go near full throttle to pull any kind of load. Any suggestions as to where to start would be great. Thank you. |

Sounds like low speed circuit in carb is clogged. Start with a carb clean, see if that helps.
