2012 Yamaha YDA Good Price
Looking for a project to use at our lake house and came across a 2012 Yamaha YDA Gas. Its a bone stock golf cart, but in perfect shape. Not a mark on the body or seats. I can have it for $2500. Is that a good price? And is there any downsides to this model over a EZ-Go/etc for the cost in modifying?
Would probably lift/wheels/stereo/street legal as far as mods. |

I spent a month trying to find a cart like that in South GA.
They were hard to find and ones i did were $3,200-$3500. |

So sounds like a decent deal. And from the modified ones I've seen on CL, is it. He also said it does about 30 MPH. Also, there is no roof.

Well, if it does 30, it sure ain't "bone stock". They go under 15mph bone stock. Sounds like Governor defeated. Have seen some early input shaft failures on carts with tampered governors (team axle).

And if it is a 2012.5 with the upgraded primary and seconday clutch's. Team clutch's are not good

Probably high speed gears.
My g22 has high speed gears and it does 27 on flat ground. |

If it does 30, it has high speed gears for sure, AND the governor may have failed.

So I just got a better look at it. Its actually a 2009 and doesnt do 30, but closer to 15. So just the governer maxed out. Ripped seats, but the body is good. On the motor there is 2 belts and I dont know these engines at all, but one of the belts was so loose, i dont think it was connected to something correctly. Any ideas? 2400 is as low as he's going. Seeming like less of a good deal and more average?
