jr6 357 cc in a g16?
I need to rebuild the engine in my g16.
it is the 301cc jn6. does anyone know if i can bolt in a jr6 357cc engine which is used in the drive cart? Thanks |

Yes, use the carb from the 357. Might need to make a easy mod to the oil sensor wire.

great it looks like the 357cc engine is coming in cheaper and it is an upgrade!!!
....looks like some people are wanting to bolt on the 301 cc head for higher compression? any thoughts? Thanks |

the engine bolted right in and oil sensor pluged in,new problem.. i bought an ebay carb for the 357cc. now it seems like it has an prm governor.
runs great up to about 10 mph then seems like its governed. if i take the air filter out it runs fine.what do i need to change or adjust? |

First, check that throttle cable is opening carb all the way at full throttle. Second, see Governor adjustment methods (tighten 10mm nut up all the way, or Zip-tie trick). Third, if that doesn't solve it, throw the $25 China carb in the trash & try again with a real one.
