g-1 axles yamaha
i am replacing the whole brake cluster and don`t know how to remove the axles to replace the assembly . it looks like you have to take apart the rearend ?.any ideas?

To remove the axle....Take off the drum. You will see 2 large holes on the axle flange. You'll need a 12mm socke and extention. Turn the holes to 1 oclock and 7 oclock , there you can remove the 2 bolts that hold the axle bearing retainer, the turn the holes to 10 oclock and 5 oclock and remove the other 2 bolts. You may have to "tap" the axle flange to get the axle out of the axle tube. Once the axle is out...your brake backing plate assy is replaceable. Thats how I change brake shoes, I just install 1 bolt to hold it in place while I remove/clean/replace and adjust the shoes. Better than trying to get the shoes and springs in behind the axle flange. thanks very much for the help i figured it out on my own but i caused myself a bunch of work i took off the outer axle from the rearend becaUSE THE AXLE WAS NOT COMING OUT BUT I THINK I JUST DIDN`T PRY HARD ENOUGH. but mit all worked out great thanks again.
