G1 issues yet again
So the other day I'm going all over the neighborhood and it was running great till just when I was going to put it up. It started acting like it was gonna die. I thought it was low on gas thought nothing of it. Yesterday I gassed it up and it was running just as bad. At WOT it wanted to die. If I kept it down it would still run like it was idling then eventually take off. Sometimes it would just sputter. It would go in spurts like as if I was pumping the gas. I replaced the seals last year and took the carb off and cleaned it. I also cleaned both clutches. At first when I went to start it I could just give it gas and it wouldn't move at all kinda like the clutch wouldn't engage. Any ideas??

Re: G1 issues yet again
Pull fuel line off of carb and jack cart up check to see you have a good flow of fuel.. if not check fuel likes for cracks, and check pickup tube in tank of they check out could possibly be pump. Of fuel is good check spark iv seen fouled plugs still run just very poorly

I agree with spicy. 2 strokes foul plugs like crazy if everything isn't just right and like he said I've also seen plugs run but with weak spark. Might want to check for loose/corroded connections from the fly wheel to the ignition while you're at it. Clean them up and use some dielectric grease for peace of mind and to rule out the possibility of a bad connection.

Re: G1 issues yet again
I cleaned the plug and it seems to crank much better and I thought it was gonna run better but it stalled out on me again. This came on all the sudden and it didn't even run this poor when the crank seals were torn to hell. Would too much oil cause this? The reason I ask is because when i had it worked on the guy thought I was gonna bypass the oil pump so he put oil in the tank but there was still plenty in the oil reservoir. Still though I had run it before without this issue after it was worked on. When it happens, it never shuts off it just stops moving but the motor is still running then all of the sudden it will jerk forward and take off only to stop again with the motor still running with pedal all the way down. If I keep it down it will kinda just pulse forward. Could this be a clutch issue?

Re: G1 issues yet again
Cleaning the plug won't do anything for a fouled plug touch oil can foul plugs get a new one and try it out if that doesn't work jack up the cart and if you can get it to run watch the clutches for smooth shifting

Re: G1 issues yet again
So here's a video. Clutches seem to work just fine. So in this video keep in mind that I have the pedal down all the way the whole time. It's as if I stopped giving it gas and it's just idling then sorta starts back up again then stops again. Weird. It also doesn't always do this at full throttle only. If I kinda feather it I can keep it going. It almost sounds like a fuel issue.

Re: G1 issues yet again
It does sound like a fuel issue. I had a similar problem and I removed tank and dumped, wasn't nice. Who ever had it before had dropped pieces of electrical tape in tank and a piece was stuck to the bottom of fuel pickup tube.

Re: G1 issues yet again
Have you checked fuel flow at the carb like I suggested in post #3

Re: G1 issues yet again
Not yet. It's just odd that it will take off at full throttle and run for a while like that then bog down and then take off again.
