Back in a GC again!
Hey Fellas, i've been MIA for quite a while on here. last year i got bored of my GC and decided to let it go. ever since i've been missing her.
I had the chance to get her back, the new owner seized up the vanny... what a shame. he wanted $600 for it. and its worth it, but then again, its right before the holidays and it does need a new engine or a serious rebuild.. I was perusing CL and found this beauty those are the pics from the seller, its still dark out so i havent taken any pics of it. according to the seller it turns but doesnt have spark. by looking at it, i see its missing some parts.. Picked it up for what i think is a steal, $300. its a 95 G14 with a lift kit and new tires. I'd like to get the stock engine running and let my wife and kids enjoy it. then maybe down the road drop a BB in it. and here's some pics of my old GC had some great memories with it, i really do still want it back, just for sentimental value.. i'm 100% sure the new owner wont fix it and hopefully he'll come to his senses and sell it back to me cheaper.... but for now, i'm going to focus on the new GC... |

Re: Back in a GC again!
so i've got an unassembled mess on my hands.
most likely it'll be missing a ton of nuts and bolts. i noticed that the wheels cannot turn full lock without the inside of the tire hitting the spindle. so i ordered some 2" spacers. i'll have to see if i need to do any more chopping once i get those on. and i also ordered a fuel tank pick up line. once i get to putting it together i'll see what else i'm missing |

Re: Back in a GC again!
for some reason i am unable to log in and post from TapaTalk. but anyways,
i've got a mechanic working on the GC, he hasnt been able to get spark to the plug yet, hes coming back today with a pulley puller to get to the stator, i think. Anyhow, i'm missing a lot of plastic covers and parts that go to the engine. does anyone have any of the covers? also i will need bolts for the body panels, its pretty much missing all of the nuts/bolts and one final question, on my old GC, it had the jakes double arm lift and i remember it had 4 plates that held the arms on, this one only has two, is that correct. i had to reuse one of the pics on this thread as i was unable to upload any new ones. |

Re: Back in a GC again!
Also, the tires on the drivers side are mounted backwards. "v shape" should point forward. Also, I think the crank trigger should be removable without removing the flywheel. There are no other coils behind the flywheel. Be careful not to break the flywheel as they are expensive and can be hard to come by.
