Default Help! All new or rebuilt, no start, pulling my hair out and I do not have much hair!

I drove my cart into the garage a month ago and it would not start the next day. I have gas and spark. Here is what has been done recently
Engine rebuilt by a reputable shop, summer 2016, been running fine since
New fuel pump, December 2016
New ignitor, December 2016 (was only a loose wire in the harness, so I tried old and new, still no start)
New in tank fuel filter, December 2016
New carb and gasket, January 2017
New carb spacer joint and gasket, January 2017
New coil, voltage reg. and solenoid a few years ago

Both butterflies open and close

It tries to start with the old cleaned carb. and the new carb.

Here is a video of me trying to start it, notice the car moves a little bit, it almost started there. It does not start with starting fluid, spark looks good to me on a spark tester.

I am at a loss as to what to do next and I need to get this up and running.

Have you run a compression test ? Also pull the rocker cover and look at valve action ?

Good thoughts raydhd, thanks, compression is 145, pulling the rocker cover will have to be my next move, what will I be looking for there? I am familiar with 1972 GM 455 heads/rockers as I pulled them and took them to a shop to be ground/new springs, so I kind of understand the basic mechanics.

You just want to make sure both valves are operating and that lash is correct. That compression seems to be on the low side.

155 to 175 lbs at wide open throttle. I agree, check and adjust valves at .004 when cold. Don't know what car you have, if the valves are adjusted correctly, my gut feeling is you have a ground problem and effecting the ignitor spark. Early Yamaha's pig tailed a 18 gauge wire onto the negative battery cable (where it attatch's to the starter), cut the electrical tape, cut off the 18 gauge wire and attatch an eye end with the negative cable on the starter post.

The compression may be low because on the recent rebuild they had to do a 50 over bore, they told me this was the last rebuild the engine will take.?

At WOT Small? so the compression would be different at starting cranking?

This sounds like my first step

Thanks!

I finally got some time to work on this, here is a video of it cranking with the valve cover off, I ran it fast and slow so you can see the action:

I do not know which is intake/exhaust but the lash on the driver side one is .012 and the passenger one is .020

Please help!
