Default 91 g-2 rear-end

got a small problem i think my rear imput shaft on my 91 g-2 is BENT. had a bad shake from the rear end. took rear body off and was watching the rear clutch and it was wobling. then i watched the nut on the shaft and it was moving as if the shaft was bent, any sugestions

Very few times have I seen an input shaft bent. It could be. A "growling or vibration (in the seat of your pants) would lead me to...circlip groove in input shaft bad (there are special spacers for that) or the bushing in the "floating flange is totally worn out. Your 91 may or may not have had a "zerk" fitting on the floating sheave, if it doesn't...I'd buy a new one that did. If your input shaft is really bent...I'm sorry....It will be a expensive and time consumming job. Keep us posted. Dave

it does have a zirk fitting and i replaced the bushing. the cir-clip is bad but i put it in neutral and gas it slowly it looks like the nut is moving side to side.can watch both clutch sides move together also. if it is the shaft i will prob just replace the rear end.

Pull the belt off and shake it, make sure it is bent or maybe a failed bearing causing slop.

i have a rear end off a 91 g9 may not be the same but if you can get it to work e-mail me at monstertruckr81@yahoo.com ill take 250 for it.... its complete drum to drum with brakes and secondary sheeve but i think it needs a spring

so i bought a torgue spring from tom and it looks like either both clutch sleaves are bent in the same spot or the shaft is bent. bummer.
