Re: g2 wont climb
Sounds like ciclip on rear input shaft. Inspect rear clutch and spring.
Where is the belt resting on the rear clutch top or middle? |

Re: g2 wont climb
Look at your drive belt the big wide one. Where does it rest between the sleves top, middle or bottom? The belt should be at the top. On the inside of the shaft behind rear end housing side of the spring seat should be a circlip is it broke or missing? The spring seat is a 3 finger piece where the inside of the spring sits. What is more than likely happening is the rear clutch is opening up too fast and put clutch in high speed. Check this to see if this is your problem.

Re: g2 wont climb
Something else you may try. G2's and G8's will run fine on the "flat's", but when you have them under load or climbing.....could be the airbox not sealed. Disconnect the air cleaner hose (at the carberator) and "fold it out the way". Run the car..Any better? If not I would think past post suggetions about secondary problem would be correct. I hate to add another possible problem....a "clogged" muffler. Just suggestions.

Re: g2 wont climb
thank you for your suggestions. Today i checked out the rear end the clutches (or what Ithink are the clutches) and they are worn bad, they no longer have any pads on them and the spring is well used, the clip is still there, but this doesn't seem to be where the priblem is. I'M not sure what else to do but, I will adjust the governer all the way out and check the air box.

Re: g2 wont climb
Josh..sorry I started another problem. Can you post a picture of your secondary clutch? Many here can see if that is the problem. Good luck Dave
