Default G1 Governor adjustment

Hey guys i have a quick question about adjusting the governor on the G1. I tired to adjust the screw and nut all the way in to see if could get some more speed but it felt like it went the same speed as before. Any idea on why it didn't bring the speed up on my car? I attached some pictures of what screw and nut i adjusted just to make sure they are the correct ones.
thanks

I would take the 5/16th drill bit and drill the "d" out of gov. Mine gained 7mph from disabling gov

Im a little confused on what you mean drilling out the "D" on the governor. Is that on the arm to the carb?

Drill out the arm where I have it circles so the shaft coming out of the rear end spins freely of the arm then tack weld a washer on top of the shaft coming up so the arm can't slide up off the shaft just be careful make sure arm still spins freely of shaft and washer

You can take the nut off the screw so it goes in more, get a longer metric screw. Jamb something in between the screw and spring. Use the pocket mini size vicegrips and clamp the spring to the arm on the other side (the cable side) that will disable it all the way. Ensure the grips do not rub on the air hose and get stuck when in use!!!! Angle them away from it. Eventually you will break your throttle cable due to more pressure if you run it fast a lot that is why people drill the shaft hole flats out so it spins on there. You should also put another return spring on if you do that, if you do it right you can usually spring it down so it can't come off the shaft. It just spins on the shaft then and the governor don't work at all unless you fix it back to the shaft or get a new arm.

Hey guys I ended up taking off the nut form the screw (I attached the picture with with what but and screw I'm talking about in case it's the wrong one) and screwed it all the way in. It felt like it was moving faster this time but not by a whole bunch. Also it seams I have to adjust the choke so while I'm driving to get max speed at this setting. Is that something that normally needs to be done? Also have any of you guys did the muffler BBQ? I did mine hoping to cut down on the very strong two stroke smell and smoke... yes I know you can't get rid of that but it didn't seem to make a big difference. Do you thing I should do it again?

Also are you premixing gas or still using oil injection?

I've seen a few videos on how to replace them but is there anyway to check if they are bad before hand? I'm still running with the oil injection system. I picked this cart up about a month ago and I haven't changed out the oil that the other owner had in it... should I do that? If it's not yamalube that he was using could it be causing extra smell/smoke?
