Opinions on rim sizes
Okay getting ready to order rims and tires for my project cart.. I have pretty much decided on madjax mirage wheels with inserts to match some of my highlights on the cart, the tires are Timber Wolf A/T.. I like the combination of both, I can get these in 10" 12" and 14" ..
There is a big difference in price from 10" to 14" and personally like more rubber for a better ride.. Any fall backs on using the 10" wheels? Tires are 22" |

Re: Opinions on rim sizes
For 22" tires, I'd go with 10" wheels. I'm not much of a bling guy, anyway.

Re: Opinions on rim sizes
I run mostly off road. I love my 10" rims. More rubber sidewall, more shock absorption. Plus, the ability to air down in soft terrain without hurting the tire or rim is good.

I like what I'm hearing so far..son talked me into big rims and low profile tires for my car once..felt every crack in the road.

Re: Opinions on rim sizes
Agree with above. As far as bandaids wrapped around a big rim, Looks only. Show me a real race car with no sidewall tires. Especially off road.

Re: Opinions on rim sizes
I run 12", I like the look of them the best. 14" will make for a rougher ride if you go off road at all. 10", IMHO, looks like they are made for off roading. I like the best of both worlds, looks and a good ride!

Re: Opinions on rim sizes
Price your tires first, on a golf cart motor it is not going to matter

Re: Opinions on rim sizes
Mike.. talk about looks..can I have Spot?
Thanks for the input everyone.. I was leaning towards the 10' wheels anyways, they are right at $100 cheaper than the 12" wheels and I forgot what the difference was for the 14" I was trying to build this cart without robbing the bank. Las Vegas love the attention to detail..are you related to Mike? and is that Spot's twin?..lol |
