Default G29 Vegas Big Block vs. Plowman hot setup

Just got a bone stock 2011 g29. So the stock cart runs ok I guess. I would like to got 30-35+ with 23 inch tires. Just thought I'd get some input on Vegas kit with the 460cc drop in motor kit or taking it to plowmans and having him port and polish the head, put in the cam and working the clutch and exhaust.... Any input is appreciated.

I only have experience with plowmans, 09 G29 with his clutch kit/belt/airbox and carb mod/cable adjustment/ gov eliminator. 22" rubber hitting 34 with myself on it with plenty of pulling power. well worth the investment IMO

just be really careful if your looking to go more than 35+...... these carts are not made for it.

Hard to say. It's a bone stock fleet unit. I'd just say you couldn't find a nicer 2011 fleet cart....

It all depends on what you want. The Vegas "drop in" kit requires some fabrication on your part, and the loudness has been a problem for many.

I recently upgraded my G22 from Plowmans Performance Kit to the Hot Setup. No head work or cam, just the bored carb and free flow exhaust. Acceleration is impressive, with 34+ mph on 22's. It has a more throaty sound, and would be acceptable for campground use. The kit requires no fabrication, and is a lot of bang for your buck. And it maintains the "stock" platform.

Well I pulled the trigger on the Vegas big block kit. Supposed to be here in two weeks. They're waiting on clutches. So I'll try and post some pictures of the install

Once you have the clone set up the whole world of small engine racing is at your fingertips. These engines are in go karts, minibike, pulling tractors, mud motors and ultra light aircraft. So you are not stuck with a supplier in michigan or any where else. Replacement parts are a fraction of the cost of stock parts let alone the much higher priced supplier modified parts. In all fairness as Dave pointed out if keeping the "platform stock" is your goal Plowman's is your best option but if you are like many of us we want much more power along with parts availability it is a no contest which way to go.
