G2 Starter Generator Wiring
1990 G2. Had it running ok for years until a few years ago it wouldn't start, I suspected the coil. But then we had a baby and the cart sat....and sat....you know the drill.
She will be 3 in a few weeks and he cart is starting to see some love again. I bought and replaced the coil. I bought the cart used years ago and the starter generator never worked so I decided to replace that as well. I have everything installed but when I give it power it get a clicking, some sparks a few times:) and the engine doesn't turn over. I should have taken a picture of he wiring before I dismantled it but I missed that boat. Also since I bought it with the starter not working I am not sure it was ever wired correctly in the first place. I have looked at the wiring diagrams but I was wondering if any of you guys could take a picture of the wiring from your starter generator, coil and solenoid. Seeing a correct setup would be a great help. I'd like to get her started so we can move forward and replace the carb, fuel pump, choke, key system, have it painted, add new chrome and add a seat/box on the back. Thanks in advance for any help or advice. |
