Thumbs up Re: Is my new cart a G2 or G9

OH yeah,.. It has a B&S 31HP.
Stock motor is long gone.
Any other places that might have serial numbers?
If it's narrowed down to a G9, are there any other ways to identify a year, besides motor?

Were the mid body hinges bolt to the frame, just forward of were the air box use to sit, there should be the stamped number on the frame or a brushed aluminum plate with the serial#.

You shure did a great job on it....you have any build pictures? I love the Supertrap sound, I've done many like that! Do you have a "rev kit" and "Cam" in the B&S? What kind of carb?

Thank You !
Unfortunately I can't take all the credit for it... I purchased it with the 31 hp engine & as a 2 seater. Chopping it up into a 4 seater now... just got new seats made for the rear back from my guy. Been doing a lot of fixing & adds over the last few months. I'll look for more photos to post for sure.
Engine is completely stock right now, and running awesome.
My biggest problem right now is the rear end. In neutral, when i rev the engine... There is a terrible loud "whining" sound coming from i think the driven clutch. At first i thought it was the belt, but when i had my son rev it for me, as i'm watching the clutches etc.. the whole driven clutch moves forward, towards the front of the cart.,,, maybe half an inch or so. I've got some investigating to do, but i'm getting worried
I love the super trap also.. I had to quiet it down some, removed some disks... (neighbors hate me)

Here's my set up currently:
31 hp B&S Vangaurd
1190 comet clutch
billet k&n intake
super trapp exhaust
independent front w/ adjustable coil overs (Terra Toys)
Volkswagen type 2 steering gear box
6" extended rear w/ qa1 coil overs
26x9x12 fronts 26x12x12 rears
high speed gears
posi locked rearend
custom sound system (sub enclosure in bag well & components integrated into front roll bar)
extended roll cage w/ rear facing seats

I'm going to have to start another thread about my rear end problem i think!!

Almost looks like an Alpha cart with a terratoys front, very nice, not much cart left lol.

The g2 had white rockers with a rubber thing down them, G9 they were steel and black. The G2 had alum trim on the front cubby the G9 was rubber covered. The G2 had white steer column and wheel, G9 they were black. Think the G2 had pad on the rear bumper or something too and G9 did not. G2 often had plates or covers under the engine and G9 it was all open. G2 had square big cup holder the G9 was smaller no square under it.

My G9 the plate is under the seat (on floor) at the hinge in the center of the cart. The engine has the same number but I don't know that else.
