This may sound stupid.. double check the cables and make sure neg/pos are the right battery post. My buddy did this by mistake..

Wiring issue is common in yamaha when they get older. Also note all things are wired with ground wiring, so you have to check all that for bad connections too. You can also try unplugging the voltage regulator on the rear wheel well they can short out. It will work then if that is it just wont charge.

It may also be possible you have a wire exposed somewhere and it's making contact causing it to blow the fuse so you will probably have to do some detailed checking Happened to me once I went throug 5 or 6 fuses before I found the culprit lol

So, it's been running fine since the starter/generator, solenoid, regulator, until now?

Wait, I may have missed something. Did you replace the solenoid And the starter/generator, or just the solenoid? If just solenoid, did you use one designed for a golf cart, or auto parts style? Auto parts store one is not designed for constant duty like is required for golf cart, may have failed.

By chance do you have this wire hooked up, mine does the same thing but when I disconnect the brown wire the fuse doesn't blow anymore, I think that's a diode sign in the drawing and I guess its located in the voltage regulator, and mine isn't working,.. when it comes to wiring I really suck at it, I also replaced the VR, which fixed one problem but created this problem....by the way everything I said is all guesswork... i'm at a loss myself..
