re: exhaust coming out of carb
Take rocker cover off and see if a pushrod fell out or bent.

Re: exhaust coming out of carb
Sounds like an exhaust valve not opening correctly. The spent combustion gasses remain under pressure in the cylinder until the intake valve opens and it escapes through the carb.

Re: exhaust coming out of carb
Is the valve lash adjusted correctly? An exhaust valve not opening all the way or an intake not closing all the way can also contribute to this symptom. Have you done a compression test?

Re: exhaust coming out of carb
IMHO you have one of two possible problems with blow out of the carb. Exhaust valve problem or intake valve problem. If things look good under the valve cover then. Compression test and or leak down test. Could be a timing issue also. I'm betting on a burned valve because the lash was tight for to long.
