Default Fuel line pick up

Yamaha experts ! Is there supposed to be anything on the fuel line pick up in the gas tank ? Mine is just the hose. Is that right or am I missing something ? Don't see anything in the repair manual that pertains to that.

I don't think there's a clunk on your pickup tube -- maybe a screen type filter.

The G2/G9s I know have the filter right in the tank. I always cut it out and put an inline filter in the line before the fuel pump.

G14 did not come from the factory with a filter on the end of the pickup tube. I do not recommend installing one either.

I have a filter before the pump in the fuel line. But after installing the electric pump and fooling around with the return line I checked the pick up line and seen it had nothing. It has ran that way since 2008 but the cart had a hard life before me so many things were altered. Just wondered what if anything was missing. Thanx guys.
