Default Yamaha G14 Throttle Issues

I have had issues with the throttle on my G14 sticking. When you push the pedal down all the way, the throttle sometimes sticks. To correct it immediately I can hook the pedal and pull it back with my foot. Otherwise, if I hit the brakes, it will eventually come back. I replaced the throttle cable as I thought that may be the issues and it helped a little.

Thoughts on what else I can do?

TIA

There is a spring at the base of the gas pedal.

So do you think that spring is stretched or something?

Well most of the time it will return the throttle. It just sticks from time to time. Could the tag being gone still cause this?

I got the throttle fixed, now I have another question.

I am looking for a replacement G14 choke cable. Can someone tell me roughly how long they are? My local dealer has one that is roughly 24" long that he says is for a G8 and then one that is roughly 13" long that he says is for a G16. I just want to make sure I get the right one.

The G16 one is likely not long enough, the carb is closer to the body on a G16.

Sounds good. I see that online they recommend a G14 with a G8.
