Help dont know what model

Just got this yamaha 4 stroke petrol cart today and have spent ages going over the cart to find serial number cant find anywhere anyone know what model this is i can't order parts.

I am 99.99% sure it is a G17-A which is a Japanese model (from the Japanese factory).

Of course with the serial number, I can have you the exact part catalog... Some parts are the same than US models (a mix of G9, G11, G14, G16) and some are unique.

The serial number is supposed to be a simple label on the frame (see the picture), unfortunately easy to remove.

It should be start with:
- JN9: 1996
- JR9: 1999
- JT1: 2001

Do you have all the electronic parts under the front seat? Can you take pictures of the engine, under the front seat and front suspension?

Anyway, whatever is the year, the differences will be minor I suspect except it is possible it was modified...

Oops, it is definitely not a G-17-A but more a G10-A4 (JH2, 1991). I can see a lot of modifications like the exhaust, etc... but cannot see the air filter.

is there parts avaliable for these I need a roof canopy and seats.

No, I corrected it: a G10-A4 (position of the battery plus others).

I can send you the catalog part but it will take me some time as I have to save page by page then make a PDF file. As you imagine, it is in Japanese but you can easily cut any part description and use Google translate, it works 90% of the time. By the way, you will have the part numbers which is the most important.

Japanese series have almost always subseries (I never understood as it is not indicated on serial numbers). Anyway... In your case A to F. I shall download the A as a start. Now this being said, you machine was highly modified I suspect.

I propose to quickly do the PDF file and send it to you, what is your eMail?

Another question, can you modify PDF file or just read them?

1. Description are in Japanese, but if you copy the text (change the cursor from the hand to the selector), you can paste it on google translate.
2. I also created the bookmarks to navigate from chapter to chapters (I did them in English )

This is a preliminary version as there are some supplemental notices and modifications I can add later when you confirm it corresponds to your machine, in fact we do not know for sure now.
