Yamaha 2004 G22A Golf Cart Hesitation
All - have a 2004 Yamaha G22A golf cart and a problem. When I drive for a long distance (lets say 1 mile or greater), it acts like it can't get enough fuel and will start to hesitate and eventually just stop... For that initial mile, it runs perfects, fires right up.. When it starts to hesitate, I choke it and that seems to give it the extra fuel it wanted. I have to do this cycle a couple of times until it's completely warmed and then it doesn't seem to hesitate any longer (i.e. I can drive it as long as I wanted after that without an problem).
To me, it seems like it can't pull enough fuel through the fuel line (filter or pump) from the gas tank, but the strange part is how it runs fine after it's warmed a bit. Things I have done - blew/cleaned out suction line from crank to fuel pump - changed spark plug - changed fuel filter - cleaned air filter. My thoughts are pointing to fuel pump replacement? Has anyone had a similar problem? |
