Default G2 at a farm sale

There will be a G2 for sale next week at a farm sale looks like everything at the sale has been setting along time. The caption says needs work. I am not interested if it is electric. If the engine is fixable might try to get it running for the cheap. If not lift kit wheels and tires Vegus clone kit.

What would you think the cart would be worth if the engine was shot? Body looks decent just dirty. Is there anything to look out for on the rear end?

Thanks

Old cart like that I wouldn't go more than 300-400 max depending on condition and that still might be little high

Going strictly by memory, I seem to recall that being a model for which parts are tough to come by? I am not sure, I could be very much wrong. Still, you may want to do a bit of Googling to ascertain parts availability? Just a thought.

Rust under the battery, frame goes fast there if not taken care of. As long as the body pieces are good I would pay up to $500 especially if it has it's top. Real strong rear end, most people prefer them over anything else. It's my favorite cart made, most durable, even if you have serious engine issues you could drop a clone motor in it without any issues.

Drove over this afternoon just 16 miles out in the bonnies. Looks like everything has been setting for several years. I think where it sets it was drove there and parked. No key tires half flat. Mouse nest on the battery. Front right fender cracked. Seats are not that bad a shape no cracks. Pretty dirty from seat from seating
Will try and post some pictures

I agree, I have several G2/G9, and they will take quite the beating. Looks like someone got a head start on beating that one. It should be cheap. It's best point is that everything under the seat looks great at first glance, toally complete & intact, even has it's airbox hooks and carb linkage "anti-tamper cover".

No run means discount, but that would be a nice start on a build. I'd have to say close to 500 though I would cringe at paying that much since it does not run (sold not running) just saying it may be worth that in some locations. Ideally it would be worth half that in that condition, and I would grab it no problem. Looks like a G9. I've never seen the cover on the carb like that on yami up here. Around here people buy those up fast as they can, put a cheapo $4-500 lift on, spraycan paint, its for sale for 2500 in a week. Some day they will stop but not yet, so hard to find a beater cart around here. I see painted up steel ezgo for 2500 sometimes but it does make me laugh really hard.

[IMG][/IMG] This is one of my G9s I run around on. I don't play golf, I just run around the woods/mud and to go next door across a field.
