Default Pain G22 won't run

Hey

We got this car in on a trade in a month ago. And it ran great. I only had to install a new clutch because the clutch wasn't so great. Now it has not been driven for a few weeks so naturally, the battery got low. Battery is charged up Now, and it's less than a year old. All of a sudden the car does not want to run only the starter runs. So I first check the accelerator cable because sometimes they fray away or stretch out too much. It seemed a little stretched, so I replaced it with a new one. Checked on the fuel pump. It is pulsing fuel out properly, so there's nothing wrong with the pump.

The drive and starter belt are okay. I checked the spark plug and it has good spark. The only thing left I could think of is compression and the carburator. So I went ahead and changed out the carburator and still no go. Only the starter turns. The compression is also fine, which I figured it would be. I just don't get after not using it for a few weeks, all of a sudden it won't run anymore. If the little black relay that is plugged in next to the solenoid goes bad, would that completely stop the car from running, or would the starter still be able to turn?

Please chime in with anything I might have missed or overlooked because its driving me crazy 😑

If it's dry and you have fuel flow to the carb pull it off and clean it could be stuck float and or plugged jets

Does it fire with starting fluid? Are you using an inline spark tester?

Wow I really need to learn not to have so much faith in new carburators

Turns out the new one I installed was not working properly. I really have a strange habit lately of getting carbs that are not working properly out of the box and they are Yamaha carbs not Chinese ones

thanks
