Default G2 Primary Suggestions...

Hey folks, The boys g2 is about had it (as far as engine is concerned) it smokes worse than a cheap date at the bar.. Infact, I did the complete tuneup and now it smokes worse. LOL go figure.. So.. its Clone time id imagine...or vtwin.. So its swap time irregardless.

Found me a free Honda 8.5hp that would work for now till I decide what I wanna buy as a final engine (prolly a clone unless I can figure something out with the twin I was given)

My dilemma is this, I don't wanna use the OEM primary for the next motor I put in.. I'm not a fan of its low engagement and gutless launch (already did the spring and sheave cutting..still sucks...)

What primary does everyone recommend for the 1" shaft engines?

Thanks for the info folks, hope all the guru's chime in!

Good question, the 780 seems to work well for many. Personally I think a newer roller weight clutch would be best like a 102 or polaris, but nobody has used one I know of and tuning one out of the blue would be a job. I have a 94c and it took a lot to get it to work right, or mostly right, and its not bad but they are also an old design.
