Default G1 golf cart starter issues

I am working on g1 Yamaha and it had a slow weak start and now it won't even turn over. Can not find the issue. I just put a brand new starter on it.

It sounds like battery. The battery has to be strong to turn the starter motor

Yea I tested by touching the cables together the same way the forward and reverse solenoids would connect them and it hardly moves the starter. I will try check the battery.

It would appear to be the forward and reverse solenoids. I removed them from the cart and tried to get the coil to close on both of them with a set of jumper wires off a battery and nothing.

Its odd for both to go at same time, but possible. It is very common to have wiring issues, bad grounds, bad connectors, cable ends, etc. Check all that first or test the part somehow to verify....before you buy parts. Most grounds are wired, check those too. I've had plenty of issues with my battery cables, I even had to file the clamps out because a wire brush cleaner would not clean them enough to work. Going to buy new this year soon as I get out there and measure the length of them.
